An Experimental Study of the Physical Properties of Recycled Aggregates and the Mechanical Properties of Recycled Aggregate Concrete (RAC)

This paper carries out a full investigation on recycled aggregate and recycled aggregate concrete RAC by using experimental approach. The purpose of this study is to determine the possibility of using recycled aggregate as a substitution for natural aggregate in concrete mix for sustainable development. In order to do so, this study covers the following objecties: 1) The source of recycled aggregate, 2) The numbers of screening on recycled aggregate, 3) The use of pre-soaking method for recycled aggregate, 4) A microstructural study on recycled aggregate concrete (RAC)
